Apple Pay Comes to 2Checkout Clients
Merchants on the Avangate Monetization Platform can now give their customers an easy and secure way to make payments through iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad or Mac
ATLANTA, GA - Aug 21, 2018 - 2Checkout (formerly Avangate), a leader in eCommerce, payments and subscription billing solutions, today announces that Apple Pay, an easy and secure way to make payments in iOS apps, watchOS apps and websites on Safari, is now available through 2Checkout. Merchants on the Avangate Monetization Platform can begin accepting Apple Pay immediately alongside other supported payment methods such as credit cards, PayPal, direct debit, eWallets and many other local options.
An increasingly popular payment method, with around 127 million global active users according to Loup Ventures, Apple Pay simplifies payment for users of iPhones, Apple Watches, iPads and Mac computers. Currently available in twenty countries including United States, Canada, Australia, China and Brazil, 2Checkout offers Apple Pay payments to all accounts on the Avangate Monetization Platform for no extra fee.
"The way people make online purchases is constantly changing, with mobile commerce gaining market share worldwide," said Erich Litch, Chief Revenue Officer, 2Checkout. "At 2Checkout, our goal is to make payments seamless for our merchants and their customers, and make this device agnostic. Supporting Apple Pay is another milestone on our journey toward frictionless payments everywhere."
Apple Pay enables mobile payments in a simplified design that lets shoppers complete purchases in just a few clicks. It is available with comprehensive cross-platform support and multiple security levels, through tokenization: shoppers can store their credit card information in Apple Wallet and confirm with Touch ID for optimal security and convenience when paying online. As ecommerce continues to grow, Apple Pay will become an increasingly critical payment option to support, and 2Checkout is ahead of the curve in this area.
