Avangate and TrialPay Partner to Offer Software Companies the Latest in Online Payment Options

Software Companies Make More Sales With TrialPay by Giving Customers Thousands of Ways to Pay; Payment Option Integrated into Avangate’s E-commerce Platform

BOSTON - (Software Industry Conference 2008) - July 17, 2008 - Today at the Software Industry Conference (SIC), Avangate, a full-service provider for electronic software distribution and reseller management, announced that it has integrated the TrialPay payment option into its e-commerce platform, giving shoppers thousands of ways to pay for their preferred software through Avangate. TrialPay is the payment option that gives online shoppers the software they want, for free, simply by buying or trying something else from one of their favorite brands.

The way people pay for the software is changing,” said Alex Rampell, TrialPay’s CEO. “Customers are so accustomed to getting free software through OEM deals, new computer purchases and free or basic editions that they are much less willing to pay for software directly. TrialPay and Avangate have partnered to ensure that the Avangate cart remains best-in-breed by offering customers compelling ways to complete their transactions, which in turn earn software publishers significantly more revenue from their current traffic.”

TrialPay creates new revenue from the software publisher’s current traffic by ensuring that every customer can find an offer that compels him to purchase. Using TrialPay, sellers in the Avangate network give away their product for free when shoppers complete one offer from blue-chip advertisers (e.g. send flowers or sign up for a DVD rental service). The Avangate seller is paid the full value of the free product - and often even more - using revenue from the advertiser. With TrialPay everyone wins: shoppers get a free product, merchants earn more revenue and advertisers acquire new customers.

Our partnership with TrialPay empowers software companies with the latest payment option available, helping them adapt to the rapidly changing online landscape and significantly increase sales from their current traffic and customer base,” said Carmen Sebe, CEO at Avangate. “TrialPay provides customers with compelling ways to complete their purchases, and we are happy to add this unique tool to our e-commerce platform.

Through this partnership, Avangate’s sellers are encouraged to incorporate the TrialPay payment option in strategic places (direct-payment option on their Web site and through marketing campaigns, in-product and download interstitial messaging, uninstall prevention, etc.) to improve conversion rates and make more sales. Current Avangate merchants can learn more about this new partnership from within the Avangate control panel and more about TrialPay by visiting www.trialpay.com

About TrialPay
TrialPay unites advertisers, merchants and shoppers to create the first payment platform that benefits all parties. Using TrialPay, merchants turn lost and indecisive shoppers into paying customers by giving away their product for free when a shopper completes an offer from blue-chip advertisers. Advertisers pay a bounty that equals or exceeds the merchant's regular price to create a profitable transaction out of a stalled or abandoned cart. TrialPay ensures that every shopper finds an offer that compels him or her to purchase by pairing premium brands with the added value of a free product. With TrialPay everyone wins: shoppers get a free product, advertisers acquire new customers and merchants earn significant revenue from lost or unlikely customers.

TrialPay works with over 5,000 premium merchants, including industry leaders in software, games, publishing, online services and retail. TrialPay currently has more than 9 million registered users and adds 30,000 new users every day.
